David Bailey is a former professional motocross racer from the United States. He was born on December 31, 1961 in San Bernardino, California. Bailey was known for his smooth riding style and incredible speed on the track.
Bailey competed in the AMA Motocross and Supercross championships during the 1980s. He won the 1983 AMA 250cc Motocross Championship and the 1984 and 1986 AMA Supercross Championships.
In 1987, Bailey suffered a career-ending spinal injury in a crash during a race in Japan. Despite being paralyzed from the waist down, Bailey has remained involved in the motocross community as a commentator and trainer.
David Bailey is considered one of the greatest motocross riders of all time and has been inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame. He continues to inspire many riders with his story of resilience and determination.
